Wireless Network
You can connect the home theater to your network through a wireless IP sharer (router). To set the
network conguration options. see page 38.
NOTE
To use a wireless network, your product must be connected to a wireless IP sharer (router). If the wireless IP sharer
supports DHCP, your product can use a DHCP (dynamic) or static IP address to connect to the wireless network.
This product supports IEEE 802.11b,g and n. We recommend using IEEE 802.11n. When you play video
over a IEEE 802.11b or g connection, the video may not play smoothly.
Select a channel for the wireless IP sharer that is not currently being used. If the channel set for the wireless IP
sharer is currently being used by another device nearby, this will result in interference and communication failure.
If you select the Pure High-throughput (Greeneld) 802.11n mode and set your routers's Security Encryption
type to WEP, TKIP or TKIPAES (WPS2Mixed), your Samsung home theater will not support the connection in
compliance with new Wi-Fi certication specications.
If your router supports WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup), you can connect to the network via PBC (Push Button
Conguration) or PIN (Personal Identication Number). WPS will automatically congure the SSID and WPA
key in either mode.
You can set up the wireless network connection in three ways:
- Using Auto Setup (the Auto Network Search function) through Wireless (General)
- Using PBC(WPS)
- Using One Foot Connection
Wireless LAN, by its nature, may cause interference, depending on the operating conditions.
(router performance, distance, obstacles, interference by other radio devices, etc).
Set the wireless IP sharer to Infrastructure mode. Ad-hoc mode is not supported.
The home theater supports the following security protocols only:
Authentication Mode : WEP, WPAPSK, WPA2PSK
Encryption Type : WEP, AES
To use the AllShare function, you must connect your PC to your network as shown in the gure.
The connection can be wired or wireless.
