About the Standard Remote Control (QEF1 / F6***F / H5***F)
Learn about the buttons on the Remote Control.
Button Description
(Power)
Press to turn the TV on or off.
SOURCE Displays and selects available video sources.
0-9 (Number button) Gives direct access to channels.
TTX/MIX
Alternately selects Teletext mode, Full TTX / Double TTX / Mix / Live TV.
This function may not be supported depending on the model.
PRE-CH Returns to the previous channel.
(VOL) Adjusts the volume.
(CH)
Changes the current channel.
Press and hold the button up or down to quickly change the channel.
MUTE
Turns the sound on/off.
GUIDE Press to display the Guide screen, or press and hold to display the Channel List screen.
(Smart Hub)
Press to switch to the Home Screen.
Launch app button
Launch the app indicated by the button.
Available apps may differ depending on the geographical area or contents provider.
Directional button (up,
down, left, right)
Use to navigate the menu or move the focus to highlight items on the Home Screen.
(Select)
Selects or runs a focused item. When pressed while you are watching a broadcast programme,
detailed programme information appears.
RETURN Returns to the previous menu or channel.
EXIT Exits the menu.
Red, Green, Yellow, Blue
(Colour Button)
Use these buttons according to the directions on the TV screen.
SETTINGS Displays the main on-screen menu.
INFO Displays information about the current programme or content.
AD/SUBT. Displays the Accessibility Shortcuts.
Multimedia Button
(Play/Pause/etc.)
Use these buttons with  features. Use these buttons according to the directions on the
TV screen.
The Standard Remote Control may not be provided, depending on the model or geographical area. Use mobile remote
control functions from the SmartThings app on your mobile device. For more information, refer to "Using a mobile remote
control."
The images, buttons, and functions of the remote control may differ depending on the model or geographical area.
This remote control has Braille points on the Power, Channel and Volume buttons and can be used by visually impaired
persons.
If you use the remote control that comes with your TV to control another TV, some functions may not operate normally.
