2.6.3.Fuserunittemperaturecontrol
Whenthemainswitchturnson,theCPUturnsonthefusinglamp.ThelampstaysonuntiltheNCsensorsdetectthestandby
temperature.ThentheCPUraisesthetemperatureuptotheprintingtemperature.
■OverheatProtection
TheCPUcutspowertothefusinglampinthefollowingcases:
•TheFuserBelttemperatureisdetectedbytheNCsensor,andifitdetectsanoverheatconditionitwillshutdown
powertotheFuser.
•TheheatingtemperatureisdetectedbyathermistorandifresistanceissolowthattheMainBoarddetectsanoverheat
condition;itwilldisabletheControlCircuitfortheFuserontheMainBoard.
Thefollowingcomponentsareusedwhenthermistoroverheatprotectionfails:
•TwothermostatsforthefuserbeltareontheneutralsideoftheAClineofthefusinglamp.
•Ifitheroneofthethermostatsdetecttemperaturesthatbecomehigherthan190°C,itopensandcutspowertoboth
fusinglamp.
