Connecting External Speakers
• For better audio quality, connect an A/V receiver to the TV.
• Connecting an audio device using an optical cable automatically changes Sound Output to External Audio
Device. However, the external audio device must be turned on before connecting the cable. Sound Output can be
configured manually as follows:
The optical port may not be supported depending on the model.
– From Quick Settings Screen
Under Quick Settings's Sound Output ( Settings up directional button Sound Output), press the
Select button to choose Optical.
– From All Settings Screen
Under Sound Output ( Settings Sound Sound Output), select Optical.
Refer to the sound bar's user manual when connecting it to the TV.
• If you hear an unusual noise while operating an external device, the unusual noise may be caused by the external
device itself. In this case, contact the external device's manufacturer.
• Digital audio is only available with 5.1-channel broadcasts.
