Using the timer
Learn how to set the timer to delay shooting.

Rotate the drive mode dial to 2 Sec or 10 Sec.
Option Description
2 Sec: Take a photo in 2 seconds.
10 Sec: Take a photo in 10 seconds.

Press [Shutter] to start the timer.
•
The AF-assist light/timer lamp blinks. The camera will
automatically take a photo at the specified time.
•
Rotate the drive mode dial to Single to cancel the timer.
•
Depending on the timer option, some face detection options are not
available.
•
You cannot use the timer in the Panorama mode and the Panorama
Action mode.
