- Die Selection: The machine comes with a die rack for organized storage of die sets. Operators must select the appropriate die set based on the desired crimping measurement, ensuring it falls within the correct interval for optimal results. The die sets are marked with their smallest crimping measurement.
- Die Installation: Dies must be installed clockwise (1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8) when viewed from the front of the machine. Die number 1 can be installed in any master die, but subsequent dies should follow clockwise. This is particularly important for dies under 16 mm to ensure good roundness of the crimped ferrule. Before installation, the contact surfaces of both the die set and master dies must be cleaned. A pull pin mechanism facilitates easy insertion and removal of individual dies.
- Crimping Process: The crimping process involves adjusting the recommended crimping diameter, pressing the crimping button until the dies lightly hold the fitting, then pressing it again until the dies stop. After crimping, the dies are opened, the fitting is removed, and the crimping diameter is checked.
- Safety Features: The machine includes an emergency stop button and a warning against pinch points, advising users to keep hands and other body parts away from the red-indicated area during crimping. It is strictly prohibited to disassemble or bypass safety devices.

- Lubrication: Insufficient lubrication can lead to low crimping force. Regular lubrication of sliding surfaces is recommended.
- Oil Level: Checking the oil level is crucial. If the machine leaks oil, it could be due to rust protection oil from a new machine, residual oil from filling, or seals passing oil during continuous use or die changes.
- Cleaning: The hydraulic system needs to be kept clean. Dirt in the system can cause leaks in the valve, leading to slower closing of dies and reduced crimping power. In such cases, the hydraulic system must be cleaned, and valves may need cleaning or changing.
- Troubleshooting: The manual provides guidance for common issues such as the motor not starting (checking power supply, thermal relay), dies not moving (checking motor rotation, oil level, measuring device connection, die position, direction valve power), and inconsistent crimping measurements (lubrication, adjusting knob position).
- Re-calibration: The crimping diameter dial can be re-calibrated if necessary. This involves using a specific ferrule size, setting the dial to 1.0, crimping, measuring the real diameter, and then adjusting the dial lock lever to match the real diameter.
- Identification Plate: The CE-label with manufacturer, serial number, manufactured year, and weight information must not be removed or damaged. This information is vital when contacting authorized service workshops for support.
