Premature diaphragm failure in your Sandpiper Control Unit could stem from several factors. Cavitation might be occurring, so enlarge the pipe diameter on the suction side of the pump. Excessive flooded suction pressure could also be the cause; move the pump closer to the product, raise it, or place it on top of the tank to reduce inlet pressure. Consider installing a back pressure device or adding an accumulation tank or pulsation dampener. Misapplication due to chemical or physical incompatibility is another possibility, so consult the Chemical Resistance Chart for compatibility with products, cleaners, temperature limitations, and lubrication.
