1 POWER Switch
Power is supplied to the unit when this switch
is depressed to ON. When released to the
STAND BY position, the main circuitry power
is cut off.
NOTE:
Even when the POWER switch is at the STAND
BY position, power still flows to part of the in-
ternal circuitry. When the unit is not being used
for a long time, the power plug should be dis-
connected from the AC outlet.
2 AUTO Indicator
This indicator lights to show AUTO Selection.
Press the < DOWN or » UP switch to locate
the desired station. Tuning automatically stops
when a broadcast is picked up.
Whether the AUTO indicator is lit or not,
turning off the power and then turning it
back on again will automatically set the unit
to the AUTO mode and cause the indicator
to light.
3 LOCKED indicator
When the frequency of an FM or AM station is
tuned in precisely, this indicator tights to ‘‘lock’’
the station for optimum reception.
* This indicator may not light when the sta-
tion signals are weak and the input from the
antenna is insufficient.
4 STEREO indicator
This indicator lights when an FM stereo station
has been tuned in.
* When the FM MUTING/MODE switch has
been set to the OFF/MONO position, the in-
dicator wiil not light even during the recep-
tion of an FM stereo program.
5 Reception Frequency Display
The frequency of the station which has been
tuned in is indicated in digits. MHz units are
used for FM frequencies and kHz units for AM
frequencies.

1 Interrupteur d’alimentation
(POWER)
L'alimentation est fournie a l'appareil lorsque
cet interrupteur est enfoncé sur la position ON.
Lorsqu’il est libéré sur !a position STAND BY,
l'alimentation des circuits principaux est
coupée.
REMARQUE:
Méme si!’interrupteur d’alimentation se trouve
sur ta position STAND BY, \’alimentation circule
matgré tout dans une partie des circuits inter-
nes. Lorsqu’on ne prévoit pas d’utiliser l’appa-
reil pendant un certain taps de temps,
débrancher la fiche d’alimentation de la prise
secteur.
2 Témoin de fonctionnement auto-
matique (AUTO)
Ce témoin s’allume pour indiquer que !’on a
choisi le fonctionnement automatique.
Appuyer sur la touche d’accord descendant
( «4 DOWN) ou ascendant { ® UP) pour repérer
la station voulue. L'accord s’arréte automati-
quement lorsque’une station est captée.
Que le témoin AUTO soit allumé ou non,
lorsqu’on coupe V'alimentation puis qu’on {a
réenclenche, l’appareil se met automatique-
ment dans le mode de fonctionnement auto-
matique, et le temoin s’allume.
3 Témoin de verrouillage (LOCKED)
Lorsqu’on accorde la fréquence d‘une station
FM ou AM avec précision, ce témoin s’allume
pour ‘‘verrouiller’’ la station sur sa réception
optimale.
* |i se peut que ce témoin ne s’allume pas lors-
que les signaux de la station sont faibles et
que l’entrée de |’antenne est insuffisante.
4 Témoin STEREO
Il s‘allume a la réception d’une station FM sté-
réophonique.
Lorsque l’interrupteur FM MUTING/MODE
se trouve a la position OFF/MONO, ce
témoin ne s‘aliume pas, méme en cas de
réception d’un programme FM _ stéréo-
phonique.
5 Affichage de fréquence de récep-
tion
La fréquence de Ja station qui a été accordée
est affichée par une valeur numérique, en Méga-
hertz pour les fréquences FM et en kilohertz
pour les frequences AM.

1 Netzschalter (POWER)
Bei Driicken dieses Schalters auf Position ON
(Ein) wird das Gerat eingeschaltet. Bei Ausra-
ten des Schalters auf Position STAND BY (Be-
reit) wird die Stromversorgung der
Haputschaltkreise unterbrochen.
ZUR BEACHTUNG:
Ein Teil der inneren Schaltkreise wird auch dann
noch mit Strom versorgt, wenn der Netzschal-
ter auf Position STAND BY gestellt ist. Wird
das Gerat !angere Zeit nicht benutzt, so sollte
der Netzstecker aus der Steckdose gezogen
werden.
2 Automatikanzeige (AUTO)
Diese Anzeige leuchtet, um die AUTO-Wahl an-
zuzeigen. Den (~~) DOWN- oder (® ) UP-
Schalter driicken, um den gewitinschten Sen-
der abzustimmen. Der Suchlauf stoppt auto-
matisch, wenn ein Sender gefunden ist.
* Durch Aus- und erneutes Einschalten des
Gerates wird automatisch AUTO-Betrieb
eingestellt und die AUTO-Anzeige zum
Leuchten gebracht, ob die Automatik zuvor
eingestellt war oder nicht.
3 Sperranzeige (LOCKED)
Ist ein UKW- oder MW-Sender exakt abge-
stimmt, so leuchtet dieser indikator auf, um zu
signalisieren, daf& der betreffende Sender auf
der optimalen Empfangsstellung verriegelt ist.
Dieser Indikator leuchtet bei Empfang von
Sendern geringer Feldstarke wegen man-
gelnder Eingangsleistung von der Antenne
u.U. nicht auf.
4 UKW-Stereo-Anzeige (STEREO)
Diese Anzeige leuchtet beim Empfang einer
UKW- Stereo-Sendung auf.
Wenn der Schalter FM MUTING/MODE auf
OFF/MONO steht, leuchtet die Anzeige nicht
auf, selbst wenn ein UKW-Stereo-Programm
empfangen wird.
5 Empfangsfrequenzanzeige
Die Frequenz des abgestimmten Senders wird
in Ziffern angezeigt. Die Einheit flr UKW-
Frequenzen ist MHz, wahrend diejenige fur MW
kHz ist.
