FOCUS RANGE
1 Display PAGE 1 of the Shooting Setting Screen (page 47).
2 Select the focus range menu.
h The focus menu appears.
3 Select the desired icon, and press the SET button.
h This completes the focus range setting.
HINT
i When the focus range is set to macro +, the zoom is set to the wide end.
i You can also change the focus range setting from the Shooting Screen by
pressing the [o] button.
*: The camera automatically
focuses on the subject within a
range of 10 cm (3.94 in.) (Wide
end) or 40 cm (15.75 in.) (Tele
end) to infinity (autofocus).
+: You can focus on a subject within
a range of 5 cm (1.97 in.) (Wide
end) or 40 cm (15.75 in.) (Tele
end) to 70 cm (27.56 in.)
(macro).
): You can focus on a subject in the
distance (infinity).
-: The focus can be manually set to
any distance from 5 cm (1.97 in.)
to 8 m (26.25 ft), as well as to
infinity (manual focus).
L: The camera continuously
focuses on the subject
(continuous AF: still image
shooting mode only).
