● Ground the scale inside the hazardous area/
location. Connect the cable to the equipotential
bonding terminal.
! Before operating the equipment, connect
the following devices to a central equipotential
busbar:
– Scale
– Zener barrier
! Installation must be carried out by
a certified electrician working in accordance
with acknowledged technical regulations.
Before putting the equipment into operation
for the first time, make sure that the area
of installation is not hazardous.
! Make sure all operating personnel are trained
to operate the equipment and to take appropriate
action in case of malfunctions (such as
connecting peripheral devices or disconnecting
the equipment from power). If there is any
indication that safe operation of the equipment is
not warranted, do not put the system into
operation (see the section entitled “Safety
Inspection”).
Setting Up the Scale
● Place the weighing pan on the scale.
