Care and Maintenance
Service
Regular servicing by a Sartorius technician will extend the service life
of your scale and ensure its continued weighing accuracy. Sartorius can
offer you service contracts with your choice of regular maintenance
intervals ranging from 1 month to 2 years.
Repairs
! Repair work must be performed by authorized Sartorius service technicians
using original spare parts. Any attempt by untrained persons to perform
repairs may result in considerable hazards for the user. Incorrect opening
of the equipment housing will void the Ex-approval rating.
! Disconnect defective equipment from power immediately. Repair work must
be performed by authorized Sartorius service technicians using original spare
parts. Any attempt by untrained persons to perform repairs may result in
considerable hazards for the user.
! If a cable or cable connector is defective or damaged,
replace the entire cable as a single unit.
● Before packing your scale for shipment, disconnect all cables to prevent
damage.
Cleaning
! Unplug the AC adapter from the wall outlet (mains supply). If you
have a data cable connected to the interface, unplug it from the scale.
! Make sure that no liquid enters the scale housing
! Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents (solvents or similar agents)
● Wipe down the scale with a cloth that has been slightly dampened
with naphtha or alcohol.
! Do not wash down the equipment with water or dry it with compressed air;
this is not permitted.
