What to do if SATA 500 Water Filtration Systems drain valve blows permanently?
    • B
      Bryan SmithJul 29, 2025
If the drain valve of your SATA Water Filtration System is blowing permanently, there are several possible causes. First, ensure the filter is installed vertically. If it is, check that the brass piece is visible on the bottom; if not, pressurize the filter and pull the brass piece downwards. Another possibility is that the floater is stuck on the drain valve, in which case you should remove and clean or exchange the drain valve. A damaged drain valve can also cause this issue, requiring you to exchange it. Finally, ensure that the internal filter pressure is not less than 1 bar; increase the inlet pressure if needed.

If your SATA Water Filtration System isn't draining condensate properly, it could be due to a couple of reasons. The floater might be stuck on the drain valve. To resolve this, disassemble the drain valve by removing the safety disc, then clean or replace the drain valve. Alternatively, the drain valve might be damaged, requiring replacement.

      Lynn DavisAug 17, 2025
If you're finding traces of compressor oil in the compressed air from your SATA Water Filtration System, there are a few potential causes. There might be too much oil in the compressed air, in which case you should control the compressor and refrigerated dryer. Also, make sure to drain the condensate by opening it manually. Another cause may be saturated filter and filter maintenance may be required.
