SECTION 5: METERING PUMP PRIMING
Understanding Metering Pump Priming
Preparing your Clean Burn furnace for operation begins with priming the metering pump. The
procedures in this section must be performed in sequence without interruption to properly prime the
pump.
Required Tools and Materials
The following tools and materials are required for oil pump priming and should be gathered before starting any
procedures:
• 3/8" open-end wrench
• 5/8" open-end wrench
• Rags
• Two containers (minimum one-gallon)
• Permatex #2 non-hardening gasket sealer
• Adjustable Wrench
• Pipe Wrench
