7. Unpacking
• Open the packaging and carefully remove the de-
vice.
• Remove the packaging material, as well as the pack-
aging and transport safety devices (if present).
• Check whether the scope of delivery is complete.
• Check the device and accessory parts for transport
damage. In the event of complaints the carrier must
be informed immediately. Later claims will not be
recognised.
• If possible, keep the packaging until the expiry of the
warranty period.
• Familiarise yourself with the product by means of the
operating manual before using for the rst time.
• With accessories as well as wearing parts and re-
placement parts use only original parts. Replace-
ment parts can be obtained from your dealer.
• When ordering please provide our article number as
well as type and year of manufacture for your prod-
uct.

ty devices are not children‘s toys. Plastic bags, foils
and small parts can be swallowed and lead to choking.
- Keep packaging material, packaging and trans-
port safety devices away from children.
8. Assembly / Before commissioning
m Attention!
Always make sure the device is fully assembled before
commissioning!
Your scheppach log splitter is not completely assem-
bled for packaging reasons.
Fitting control arms, Fig. 7
• Lightly grease the sliding plate (5d).
• Insert the control arm (5) with the recess into the
cross-connection (5c).
• Insert M 8 x 30 hexagonal bolt, (5b) with washer
from above, tighten with washer and locknut from
below so that the control arm can still be moved.
• Mount the left control arm 5a in the same way (5c)
Fig.8, also guide the upper rocker switch through the
switch rod recess (5d) Fig.1
