  If your Schumacher Remote Starter isn't jump-starting your car, there might be a few reasons. First, check the clamps to ensure they're making a solid connection to both the battery and the frame, and that the connection points are clean. If that's not the issue, make sure the connections aren't reversed; if they are, disconnect the Instant Power and reverse the clamps. Also, check the battery status by pressing the Battery Status button on the front of the unit. If the battery is low, it needs to be charged. Finally, the vehicle's battery itself might be defective, in which case you should have it checked.

  If your Schumacher Remote Starter won't power your 12V device, first ensure that the device is turned on. Next, check the battery charge status of the Instant Power by pressing the Battery Status button. If the battery is not the issue, your 12V device might be drawing more than 15A or has a short circuit. In this case, disconnect the 12V device and wait a minute or two for the internal breaker to automatically reset, then try the 12V device again.
