If the Engine Start function isn't working on your Schumacher Battery Charger, it could be due to several reasons. You might be drawing more than 200 amps, in which case, the crank time may be less than 5 seconds. Remember to wait 3 minutes between cranks; the Engine Start LED will blink to indicate this rest period. Also, the charger might be overheating, so ensure the vents are clear. If the battery is severely discharged, try using the 40A Boost rate for 10 to 15 minutes before attempting to crank again.
