Why does the green CHARGED light turn on quickly after connecting my Schumacher Battery Charger?
    • I
      Ian BlackwellJul 30, 2025
If the green CHARGED light illuminates shortly after connecting the battery to your Schumacher Battery Charger, the battery might already be fully charged or recently charged. Try turning on the vehicle's headlights for a few minutes to lower the battery voltage and then attempt charging again. Alternatively, the battery could be faulty (sulfated), so try selecting a lower BATTERY SIZE setting.

How to fix a Schumacher SpeedCharge 600A Battery Charger when the connected light is not on?
    • W
      wardbarbaraAug 6, 2025
If the 'Connected' light on your Schumacher Battery Charger isn't on, ensure the battery is correctly connected by adjusting the clips. Verify that you've selected the correct voltage (12V or 6V) on the charger, and that the connection to the battery isn't reversed. Press the button to select the correct size and type. If the battery voltage is less than one volt, correct the connection, replace the battery, or try using a manual charger to bring the voltage above 1V.

What to do if all lights are off except the 'Connected' light on my Schumacher SpeedCharge 600A?
    • C
      Connor SmithAug 22, 2025
If all lights except the 'Connected' light are off on your Schumacher Battery Charger, it may be in abort mode. Try resetting the charger by unplugging it. Also, the battery may be faulty if it didn't reach full charge within 36 hours. If necessary, re-select the desired battery size and type.
