If your Schumacher Battery Charger doesn't turn on even when properly connected, here's what might be happening: * The AC outlet may not be working due to an open fuse or circuit breaker. Also, check the power cord and any extension cords for loose plugs. * A severely discharged battery might not accept a charge right away. Let the charging continue, but if it doesn't improve after 20 minutes, have the battery checked. * Poor connections to the battery or frame can prevent charging. Ensure connection points are clean and rock the clips for a better connection. * The battery itself could be defective. Have it checked. * Reverse connections at the battery will also prevent charging. Unplug the charger and correct the lead connections.
