Why is the belt snapping on my Sears C 151 61822 4?

A belt might snap, shred, burn, or wear unevenly on your Sears Snow Blower due to several reasons. It could be from a lack of tension on the belt, which can be fixed by adjusting the manual clutch cable or replacing stretched springs. It could also be caused by engaging the snowblower when it's plugged; always ensure the auger and fan aren't frozen before starting. Using non-original belts or shear bolts can also cause this issue, so stick to original parts. Imperfections in the pulleys, like damage or rust, can also be a culprit; inspect and sand down or replace them if needed. Ensure the belt isn't contacting other parts when engaged, and if a new belt flips on its side after installation, reinstall it in the opposite direction.
