5.9 Description of the Application
5.10 Foreword
As CT-powered protection relay the WIC1 is mainly used in MV switchboards with circuit breakers, protecting dis-
tribution transformers in local and industrial networks. Due to its small size the WIC1 is very well suited for the use
in compact switchboards.

The ability of the protection system WIC1 to adapt to different primary currents makes it possible that it is used for
all standard rated transformer loads and the different MV operational voltages.
