For optimal battery health, the S-PLUS should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures, which can accelerate the aging process of plastic components and reduce battery life. The tires should be inflated to 45-50 psi, with both tires inflated equally. Battery pack maintenance is critical; users should avoid storing or charging the battery outside the stated temperature limits. The battery should be charged after each ride, and complete draining should be avoided, as this can cause permanent damage. While a fully charged battery can retain charge for 120-180 days in Standby Mode, regular charging is recommended. The battery management system includes protections against over-voltage, under-voltage, short circuits, and over-heating. The battery is not user-serviceable and should be replaced by Segway service if needed. Only Segway-approved charge cables and power supplies that meet SELV and IEC60950-1 Limited Power Source requirements should be used.
