and take turns at listening with your respective ear type.
The headphone sockets have an additional function: In loudspeaker mode
(the LED beside the button with the headphone symbol is not lit), the
sockets deliver the four Dolby Surround channels. With the supplied
adaptor cables, the Dolby Surround signals can be fed to external
amplifiers. Thus, DSPpro is transformed into a full-featured Dolby Pro-
Logic decoder.
7 Recommended standard settings
Of course you should try out DSPpro and its controls and functions as you please, but listen
to some recommended settings first.
Using RESET you can always reset DSPpro to the factory-adjusted standard settings. Press
RESET for about 2 seconds. The DSPpro LEDs will light up to confirm your choice.
DSPpro will also return into the standard settings when it is switched off and on again.
The standard settings are:
• THEATER mode (i.e. cinema mode)
• BASS at middle position
• VOLUME at minimum
• SEAT at middle position
• AMBIANCE (reverberation) at middle position
Recommended settings for classical music:
For classical music which is not Dolby Surround-encoded, please use the following settings:
• Choose HALL mode
• Set DSPpro to STEREO (except for old mono recordings)
• Set BASS to minimum
Recommended settings for pop, rock, or jazz music:
Please use the following settings for listening to pop, rock or jazz music:
• Choose CLUB mode
• Set DSPpro to STEREO (except for old mono recordings)
• Set BASS to between middle position and minimum
• Set AMBIANCE to between middle position and maximum
