Monitor drivers (inf file)
FOR WINDOWS 95/98/2000/ME OR LATER
Philipsās monitors build in VESA DDC2B feature to support Plug & Play requirement for Windows 95/98/2000/Me. You can install the
information file(.inf) in order to select your Philips monitor from āMonitorā dialog box in Windows 95/98/2000/Me to activate Plug &
Play application. The installation procedure based on Windows 95 OEM Release 2, 98, Me and 2000 is specified as follows, (in case
of connecting the monitor to the PC compliant with VESA standard with the designated signal cable, the PC reads display pixels,
frequency and color feature of this monitor to optimize the picture for the monitor automatically.)
DDC: Abbreviation for Display Data Channel
** Windows NT 4.0 does not require driver (inf file) for monitor.**
1. Start Windows 95
2. Click the āStartā button,
point to āsettingā, and
then click ācontrol panelā.
3. Double click the
ādisplayā lcon.
4. Choose the āsettingā tab then
click āadvancedā¦ā
5. Choose āmonitorā button,
point to āchangeā¦ā then click
āhave diskā¦ā.
6. Click ābrowseā¦ā button then
choose the appropriate drive
F:(CD-ROM Drive) then click
āokā button.
7. Click the āokā button then
choose your monitor model
and click the āokā.
8. Click ācloseā button.
For Windows 98
For Windows 98 drivers, our monitors are listed under
2 manufactures name āPhilipsā, and āPhilips
Consumer Electronics Co.ā Please select āPhilipsā
when you would like to set up your monitor in
Windows setting, if you can not find the right model
name just as the label indication on the back of set.
For those set that have been issued since the release
of Window 98, drivers can be found in CD-ROM
under the directory path of ā\pc\driver\ā or it may be
downloaded at http://www.philips.com
. Once you
have installed the new driver, Windows will add a
new manufacture name āPhilips Business
Electronicsā in your system.
1. Start Windows 98
2. Click the āStartā button, point
to āsettingā, and then clock
ācontrol panelā.
3. Double click the
ādisplayā lcon.
4. Choose the āsettingā tab then
click āadvancedā¦ā
5. Choose āmonitorā button,
point to āchangeā¦ā
then click ānextā.
6. Choose ādisplay a list of all
the drivers in a specify
location, so you can select
the driver you wantā, then
click ānextā and then click
āhave diskā¦ā
7. Click ābrowseā¦ā button then
choose the appropriate drive
F: (RD-ROM Drive)
then click āokā button.
8. Click the āokā button then
choose your monitor model
and click the ānextā button.
9. Click āfinishā button then click
ācloseā button.
1. Start Window Me
2. Click the āstartā button, point
to āsettingā , and then click
ācontrol panelā.
3. Double click the
ādisplayā lcon.
4. Choose the āsettingā tab then
click āadvancedā¦ā.
5. Choose āmonitorā button, then

6. Choose āspecify the location
of the driver (advanced)ā and
click the ānextā button.
7. Choose ādisplay a list of all
the drivers in a specific
location, so you can select
the driver you wantā, then
click ānextā and then click
āhave diskā¦ā.
8. Click ābrowseā¦ā button then
choose the appropriate drive
F: (CD-ROM Drive)
then click āokā button.
9. Click the āokā button then
choose your monitor model
and click the ānextā button.
10. Click āfinishā button then
click ācloseā button.
For Window Me
For Windows 2000
1. Start Windows 2000
2. Click the āstartā button, point
to āsettingā, and then click
ācontrol panelā.
3. Double click the
ādisplayā lcon.
4. Choose the āsettingā tab then
click āadvancedā¦ā.
5. Choose āmonitor;
- If the āpropertiesā button is
inactive, it means your
monitor is properly configured.
Please stop installation.
- If the āpropertiesā button is
active, click āpropertiesā button.
6. Click ādriverā and then click on
āupdate driverā¦ā then click on
the ānextā button.
7. Choose ādisplay a list of the
known drivers for this device
so that I can choose a specific
driverā then click ānextā and
then click āhave diskā¦ā.
8. Click ābrowseā¦ā button then
choose the appropriate drive
F: (CD-ROM Drive).
9. Click the āopenā button then
click the āokā button.
10. Choose your monitor model
and click the ānextā button.
11. Click āfinishā button and then
click the ācloseā button. If you
can see the ādigital signature
not foundā window then click
the āyesā button.
For Windows 95
For Windows 95 drivers, your
monitor is listed under
manufacture name āPhilips
Business Electronics Co.ā.
