Maintenance Features
General Maintenance:
- Unplug the machine and turn off water supply if unused for a long time.
- Leave the door open to prevent humidity buildup.
- Perform periodic cleaning every 2 months using the Drum Clean program or Cottons-90 program.
- Use limescale removers specifically for washing machines when needed.
Cleaning the Water Inlet Filters:
- Filters prevent dirt from entering the machine and should be cleaned every 2 months or when water intake is insufficient.
- Unscrew inlet hose(s) from the machine.
- Use long-nosed pliers to gently pull out the plastic bar in the filter from the water inlet valve and the tap end of the hose.
- Clean filters with a soft brush, soapy water, and rinse thoroughly.
- Re-insert filters by gently pushing them back.
- CAUTION: Do not use solvents, abrasive cleaners, glass cleaners, or all-purpose cleaning agents on the machine's plastic surfaces.
Cleaning the Pump Filter:
- The pump filter prolongs pump life by preventing lint entry and should be cleaned every 2 months.
- The filter is located behind the cover on the front-lower right corner.
- Open the cover using a washing powder spade or liquid detergent level plate.
- Place a container under the cover to collect water.
- Loosen the filter by turning anticlockwise and remove. Wait for water to drain.
- Remove foreign materials with a soft brush.
- Re-fit the filter by inserting and turning clockwise.
- Ensure mountings inside the cover meet the holes on the front panel side and close the filter cover.
- WARNING: Water in the pump may be hot; wait until it cools before cleaning.
Cleaning the Detergent Drawer:
- Detergent residue can build up over time; clean every 2 months.
- Pull the drawer forwards until fully extended.
- Press the indicated region inside the drawer and continue pulling to remove it.
- Disassemble the flush stopper and clean thoroughly to remove softener residue.
- Rinse with a brush and water, collect residues, and dry before placing back.
- CAUTION: Do not wash the detergent drawer in a dishwasher.
Cleaning the Liquid Detergent Apparatus:
- Remove the apparatus from its location, clean remaining detergent residues, and replace. Ensure no residual material remains inside the siphon.
Cleaning the Body / Drum:
- Body: Use a mild, non-abrasive cleaning agent or soap and water to clean the external casing. Wipe dry with a soft cloth.
- Drum: Do not leave metallic objects in the machine to prevent rust stains. To clean rust stains, use a non-chlorine cleaning agent and follow manufacturer instructions. Never use wire wool or similar hard objects.
