4.1.1
Keyboard
modes
The
MZ-800
keyboard
operates
in
one
of
the
following
modes:
*
Normal
mode:
Normally
used
to
input
the
alphabetic
characters,
numbers
and
symbols.
This
mode
is
automatically
set
when
the
BASIC
interpreter
is
started
or
the
MZ-800
is
reset.
*
Shift
lock
mode:
In
this
mode,
all
keys
excepting
through
|
FS
|
operate
in
the
SHIFT
mode.
This
mode
is
entered
when
[SHIFT]
+
is
pressed,
Pressing
ALPHA
|
again
resets
the
shift
lock
mode.
*
Graphics
mode:
Used
to
input
special
graphic
characters.
Three
types
of
cursor
are
used
to
indicate
the
current
keyboard
mode.
