This version reverses the conditional te st by spe cifying some ac tion to be: pe rformed if the
user's in put is NOT equal to "YES", Thus. it eliminates the prob le ms of the wcond version, and
could be expanded into the larger form of t he IF state me nt described above. Re ·arranging
statements in lhis fashion is often a useful maneuver when programnli ng . Take some ti me to
experiment on your own and you wi ll be rewarded with better programs.
Another very common us e of the GOTO sta te men t is to cause repeated e xe cution of a sequenc e
of statements. Th is process is known as "loop ii ng". A simple example of looping is illustrated by
