Basic Operations
Deleting One Stored
Image
Available in w mode
You can delete unwanted images to free up
card memory.
1 Set the Mode Dial to “w”,
then power on the camera.
• The images recorded on
the card are displayed in
full screen format.
2 Press j or k on the Operation button
to select the image to be deleted.
3 Press the @ button.
4 Press l or m to select “YES”, then
press the SET button to delete the
image.
• To cancel deletion, press l or m to
select “NO”, then press the SET button.
The menu screen appears.
• If you want to delete another image,
repeat steps 2 to 4.
Notes:
• To delete all images, see page 38.
• Do not turn the power off while deleting an
image.
• Protected images cannot be deleted. Cancel the
protection setting to delete the image (see page
33).
• You can restore the most recent image deleted
(see page 54).
Zooming a Preview
Image
Available in w mode
This function allows you to magnify the preview
image up to 4 times its original size.
1 Preview the image (see page 17 or 18).
2 Press the Power Zoom “T” button to
magnify the image.
• Each time you press the button,
magnification changes as shown below.
3 Press j, k, l or m to shift the display
area of the image.
To return to original size
Press the Power Zoom “W”
button until the image returns
to its original size.
Note:
• You cannot zoom in images that were recorded
with a different camera.
