What to do if Sharper Image MIST 6 Humidifier leaves white dust?

If you notice white dust accumulating on the mist outlet or the floor around your Sharper Image Humidifier, it could be due to two reasons. First, the unit and ultrasonic disk may need cleaning, so refer to the CLEANING instructions. Second, the water you're using might be too hard. Try using distilled water instead.
