What to do if Shaver HD-8-S has low impact or the hydraulic drive cylinder won't extend?
    • K
      Katherine SampsonAug 7, 2025
If your Shaver Industrial Equipment experiences poor performance with low or no impact, or the hydraulic drive cylinder won't extend, several factors could be at play. The drive ram springs might be weak or broken, or the lower spring bracket could be broken. The hydraulic drive cylinder assembly may be bent or damaged, or the main carriage channel could be binding. Check for restricted or plugged hydraulic hoses, and ensure there's adequate hydraulic pressure and flow from the machine or power source. Suggested solutions include replacing the springs or lower spring bracket, repairing or replacing the hydraulic drive cylinder assembly, cleaning and lubricating the channels and blocks/rollers, replacing hydraulic hoses, and filling the reservoir/tank with hydraulic fluid.

Why do the rubber bumpers on my Shaver HD-8-S have premature damage?
    • O
      Olivia HarveyAug 27, 2025
If the rubber bumpers on your Shaver Industrial Equipment are experiencing premature or excessive damage, it's likely that the Post Driver was not properly adjusted prior to operation, causing the Drive Ram Guide Blocks/Rollers to contact the Rubber Bumpers. Replace the Rubber Bumpers and adjust the Post Driver to resolve this issue.

How to fix a Drive Ram that won't move freely in a Shaver HD-8-S Industrial Equipment?
    • P
      pmorrisNov 16, 2025
If the Drive Ram of your Shaver Industrial Equipment won't move or slide freely in the Main Carriage Channel, several issues could be the cause. The guide blocks or rollers may lack lubrication or be installed incorrectly. There might be incorrect clearance between the Main Carriage Channel and Drive Ram I-Beam. The Hydraulic Drive Cylinder Assembly might not be parallel to the Main Carriage Channel, or the Main Carriage Channel or Drive Ram could be bent or damaged. To address this, lubricate with clean engine oil or spray lubricant. Ensure correct orientation by referring to the Service Information section for assembly procedures. Check the Service Information section for clearance specifications. Refer to the Service Information section for Hydraulic Drive Cylinder installation and para...
