What to do if Shindaiwa C270 has low power output?

  If your Shindaiwa Trimmer has low power output, it could be because you are overworking the unit; try shortening the trimmer line and cutting at a slower rate. Another reason might be improper fuel ratio, so refill with fresh, clean unleaded gasoline mixed with 50:1 Shindaiwa Premium 2-cycle mixing oil. Check if the fan, fan cover, or cylinder fins are dirty or damaged, and clean, repair, or replace them as necessary. Ensure the air cleaner element is serviced and that the spark plug isn't loose or damaged; tighten or replace it if needed. Also, check for air leakage or a clogged fuel line, and repair or replace the fuel filter and/or fuel line. Finally, verify there is no water in the fuel and refuel if necessary.

  The Shindaiwa Trimmer engine might fail to start due to several reasons. It could be due to a loose spark plug, which you can tighten and re-test. The fuel might be incorrect, stale, or contaminated, requiring you to refill with fresh, clean unleaded gasoline mixed with 50:1 Shindaiwa Premium 2-cycle mixing oil. Ensure the ignition switch is in the “I” (ON) position. If the plug is wet, excess fuel may be in the cylinder; crank the engine with the plug removed, reinstall the plug, and restart. The plug might also be fouled or improperly gapped; in that case, clean and regap the plug to 0.024 inch (0.6 mm) and restart. Finally, the plug could be damaged or of the wrong size, requiring replacement with a Champion CJ8Y or equivalent spark plug, adjusting the spark plug electrode gap to 0.024 ...
