The fuel mixture could be too rich, in which case you should open the choke, clean or replace the air filter, or adjust the carburetor. Ensure the stop switch is in the ON position. Check the spark plug; it may have an incorrect gap, be covered with carbon, fouled with fuel, or be defective. Adjust the gap to 0.65mm (0.026 in.) or clean/replace the plug.
