What to do if SIBRE CB8-E brake disc is slipping?
- JjoshuachandlerAug 6, 2025
If the brake disc is slipping, it could be due to several reasons. First, ensure the braking torque is correctly adjusted according to the operating manual (OM). Second, check and adjust the reserve stroke as per the OM and monitor during operation. Third, if the contact pattern of the linings is too small, bed-in the linings against the rotating disc. Fourth, linings may be worn or the brake disc may have inadmissible scoring, in that case, replace the linings and/or brake disc. Finally, check the adjustment of optional features and readjust if necessary, if the brake is acting against a mechanical limit stop when closing.
