Base station settings
The base station settings are carried out using a registered Gigaset C47H handset.
Protecting against unauthorised
access
Protect the system settings of the base station with a system PIN known only to yourself.
You have to enter the system PIN if, among other things, you register and de-register a
handset, change VoIP settings or reset the phone to factory settings.
Changing the system PIN
You have to enter the system pin when, for example, you register a handset with the base
station, change VoIP settings or start the Web configurator.
You can change the base station's 4-digit default system PIN ("0000") to a 4-digit system
PIN known only to yourself.

Restoring the base station to the factory settings
Resetting the base station via the menu
Each individual setting is reset, in particular:
u VoIP settings such as VoIP provider and account data and DTMF settings (page 107,
page 120, page 132)
u Settings for the local network (page 109, page 118)
u Default connection (page 105)
u The names of the handsets (page 90)
u SMS settings (e.g. SMS centres, page 52)
u PABX connection settings (page 111)
u On the Gigaset C47 IP:
Answer machine settings (page 70), and own announcements are deleted
u On the Gigaset C47 IP:
Answer machine settings (page 76), and own announcements are deleted
SMS lists, the answer machine list and calls list are deleted.
