Pin connections on the telephone jack
Writing and editing text
The following rules apply when writing
text:
u Each key between Q and O is
assigned several letters and characters.
u Control the cursor with uvt
s. Press and hold u or v to
move the cursor word by word.
u Characters are inserted to the left of
the cursor.
u Press the star key
*
to show the
table of special characters. Select the
required character, press the display
key
§Insert§ to insert the character at the
cursor position.
u Press and hold Q to O to enter
digits.
u Press display key Ñ to delete the char-
acter to the left of the cursor. Press and
hold to delete the word to the left of
the cursor.
u The first letter of the name of directory
entries is automatically capitalised, fol-
lowed by lower case letters.
Setting predictive text, upper/lower
case or digits
Repeatedly press the hash key # to
change the text input mode.
The active mode is indicated at the bottom
right of the display / screen.
Writing an SMS/name (without
predictive text)
Predictive text is not activated in "Abc",
"abc" or "123" mode.
¤ Enter the individual letters/characters
by pressing the corresponding key.
The characters assigned to the key are
shown in a selection line at the bottom left
of the screen. The selected character is
highlighted.
¤ Briefly press the key several times in
succession to select the required letter/
character.
