22  Rinsing
Rinse the appliance if you have not used operations
with steam for a long time.
If descaling is interrupted, you can no longer set any
operation. To ensure that the appliance is ready for op-
eration again, carry out rinsing.
22.1 Preparing for rinsing
ATTENTION!
If descaling solution comes into contact with the control
panel or other delicate surfaces, it will damage them.
Remove descaling solution immediately with water.
Requirements
¡ The cooking compartment must have cooled down
completely.
¡ Have a large container with a capacity of at least 2
litres ready.
¡ Have a connection hose ready.

1.
Remove accessories and cookware from the cook-
ing compartment.
2.
If necessary, detach the shelf supports and remove
them from the cooking compartment.

3.
Place the container in the cooking compartment.
4.
Attach the connecting hose in the cooking compart-
ment on the right-hand side of the socket ⁠.
5.
Place the small tube at the end of the connection
hose into the container. If required, secure the small
tube onto the container using the clip ⁠.
6.
Close the appliance door.
22.2 Setting the rinsing programme
Requirement:→"Preparing for rinsing", Page33
1.
Press "Cleaning".
2.
Press "Rinsing".
The duration cannot be changed.
3.
Press "Start".
a A message stating that you should carry out the ne-
cessary preparatory work for rinsing appears on the
display.
4.
Confirm the message.
a Rinsing starts and the duration counts down.
a Once rinsing has ended, a signal tone sounds. A
message appears on the display confirming that the
operation has finished.
5.
Press to switch the appliance off.

22.3 Preparing the appliance for operation
after rinsing
1.
Remove the connecting hose in the cooking com-
partment from the socket.
2.
Remove the container, with the connecting hose,
from the cooking compartment, then empty and
clean it.
3.
Wipe any liquid which has escaped from the cook-
ing compartment floor, then wipe with clean water
and dry with a soft cloth.
4.
Attach the shelf supports as required.

Drying function
23  Drying function
To prevent residual moisture , dry the cooking compart-
ment following operation with steam.
ATTENTION!
If there is water on the cooking compartment floor
when operating the appliance at temperatures above
120°C, this will damage the enamel.
Do not use the appliance if there is water on the
cooking compartment floor.
Wipe away any water on the cooking compartment
floor before operation.
