4.3.4 Technical data of the holding brake
Holding torque M4
The holding torque M
4
is the minimum brake torque in steady-state operation (when the motor
is at a standstill).
For motors with forced cooling or water cooling, the holding torque of the brake can be less
than the motor stall torque.
Note
Motors with or without holding brake cannot be subsequently retrofitted!
Motors with holding brake are longer by the mounted space required (refer to the dimension
drawing).
