4. Take the IE switch you require from the hardware catalog (here, for example, SCALANCE
X408-2 (PROFINET IO > Network Components > SCALANCE X-400 Switches >
SCALANCE X408-2)). Drag the selected SCALANCE to the PROFINET IO system.

5. Click on the "(1)SCALANCE" icon so that the slots of the IE switch are displayed in the
lower part of the screen. By double-clicking on slot 0, you can set the global parameters
of the IE switch (substitute module) as shown in the figure.
6. By double-clicking on a slot, you can view and set its properties.
