1.5.7.4 T iming Functions
Differentiator (high pass)
A= E1⋅ E2 ⋅ e
--t/E3
With E2 (V
v
) = derivative gain
E3 (T
v
) = derivative action
time constant [s]
Use for control technical applications:
T
v
=V
v
⋅ τ
v
= derivative action time
Example curve calculation:
with E2 = const. and
ΔE1
Δt
= const.
A = E2 ⋅ E3 ⋅
ΔE1
Δt
Recommendation : E3 ≪
ΔE1
Δt
(approx. 0.01)
Filter (low pass)
A= E1⋅ E2 (1 --e
--t/E3
)
With E2 = gain
E3 = time constant [s]
Default: A = E1 (1 --e
--t
)
Timer (monoflop)
Every positive edge at E1 (C) outputs a pulse with
length t = E3 at A. While A = high another positive
edge at E1 can output a pulse with length t again (re-
trigger). High at E2 (Reset) sets A to low and blocks
E1. Values at E3 for the pulse length in seconds are
limited to 1 to 7500.
