The transducer is to be used only in the manner outlined in this operating instructions.
Normally, the transducer requires no cleaning or maintenance. However, if performance
changes are observed, immediately shut down the level measurement system and
perform a thorough inspection, especially on the transducer.

A.1.1 Stilling well with standpipe
Open Channel Flow Measurement
A stilling well and/or standpipe is hydraulically connected to the primary element and used to
reduce the effect of waves and surges that may be present in a primary element. Stilling well
and/or standpipe are most often found in older installations where a floating gauge may have
been used.
