Deactivating Wi-Fi on the ap-
pliance
1. Press and hold  for at least
threeseconds.
2. Set the programme to position 4.
a The display shows Con.
3. Press inicio/pausa+carga re-
peatedly until the display shows
OFF.
a Wi-Fi is deactivated.
Note:If Wi-Fi is switched off and your
appliance was previously connected
to your home network, this connec-
tion will be re-established automatic-
ally when Wi-Fi is switched back on.
Software update
Requirement:The display shows
UdP.
1. Press and hold  for approx. 3
seconds.
2. Set the programme to position6.
a UPd appears on the display.
3. Press inicio/pausa+carga.
a The software update is installed.
a If End is shown on the display, the
software update is installed.
Note:The software update may take
several minutes. Do not switch off the
appliance while the software update
is in progress.
Resetting the appliance net-
work settings
1. Press and hold  for at least
3seconds.
2. Set the programme to position5.
a The display shows rES.
3. Press inicio/pausa+carga.
a The display shows .
4. Press inicio/pausa+carga.
a The network settings are reset.
a If End is shown on the display, the
network settings are reset.
Tip:If you wish to operate your appli-
ance again via the HomeConnect
app, you will need to reconnect it to
the Wi-Fi and to the HomeConnect
app.
Remote diagnostics
Customer Service can use Remote
Diagnostics to access your appliance
if you contact them, have your appli-
ance connected to the HomeCon-
nect server and if Remote Dia-
gnostics is available in the country in
which you are using the appliance.

Data protection

The first time your appliance is
registered on a home network
connected to the Internet, your
appliance will transmit the following
types of data to the HomeConnect
server (initial registration):
¡ Unique appliance identification
(consisting of appliance codes as
well as the MAC address of the
Wi-Fi communication module in-
stalled).
¡ Security certificate of the Wi-Fi
communication module (to ensure
a secure data connection).
¡ The current software and hardware
version of your appliance.
¡ Status of any previous reset to
factory settings.
