S-DIAS safety modules were developed for integration into a network protected against
unauthorized access. For example, the following dangers can affect the network:
• Unauthorized access
• Data manipulation
• and many other IT security violations
It is the responsibility of the operator to protect the safe connection between S-DIAS modules
against unauthorized access. The following measures, for example, are suitable for this:
• Firewalls
• Password-protected user accounts
• Data encryption
