NOTE
Use tap water in the appliance. If your tap water is hard, we recommend
that you mix it with distilled water. Otherwise, the appliance will
accumulate limescale quickly.
Mix the tap water with distilled water in accordance with the following
table for optimal performance.
Water hardness
Ratio of distilled
water to mains water
very soft/soft 0
medium 1: 1
hard 2: 1
very hard 3: 1
Information about the level of hardness of water in your area can be
obtained from your local water company.
Never use water that contains additives (e.g. starch, perfumes, softening
agents) or condensation (e.g. from dryers, refrigerators, air conditioning
units or rain). These may contain organic or mineral residues that accumu-
late when exposed to heat and can cause noise, brown discolouration and
premature failure of the appliance.
1) Remove the mains plug from the power socket if connected.
2) Remove the water tank
from the appliance by pressing the release

indicates the maximum fill level.
4) Close the lid
