4.8 UART Interface
SIM7600E-PCIE provides one UART (universal asynchronous serial transmission) port. The module is as the
DCE (Data Communication Equipment) and the client PC is as the DTE (Data Terminal Equipment). AT
commands are entered and serial communication is performed through UART interface.

The SIM7600E-PCIE UART is 1.8V interface. A level shifter should be used if user’s application is equipped
with a 3.3V UART interface. The level shifter TXB0108RGYR provided by Texas Instruments is recommended.
