8.2.2. Remote on/off system
To use the remote on/off function, the dipswitch on the rear must be set; switch 1 should be set
to [ON].
If switching times are short, it may be difficult to read the output voltage; in this case switch 7
can be set to [ON]. This option displays the output voltage for a longer period. Connect the
remote on/off voltage, through the Sub-D connector, as shown in the diagram (see the
appended diagram and dipswitch settings). The unit is off when 0 V is supplied, the unit is on
when a 12 V voltage is supplied. The 12 V can be supplied from the internal +12 V. (also
connect pin 14 and 20 to each other).
Attention:
- If use of the remote on/off function is not (no longer) required:
Set switches 1 and 7 to off again.
8.3. Setting the output voltage (remote voltage programming)
8.3.1. Summary
The output voltage setpoint can be set remotely (Remote Voltage Programming). This option is
connected using the Sub D-connector on the rear of the unit.
8.3.2. Installation
Connect the external voltage / current for Remote Voltage Programming as shown in the
appended diagram.
The output voltage can be controlled externally from 0 kV to the maximum by means of the
following input signals:
0 - 5 V
0 - 10 V
0 - 20 mA
4 - 20 mA
(see the appended dipswitch settings)
