Troubleshooting

Engine speed too slow. Set for 3/4 to full throttle.
Ground speed too fast. Use lower gear.
Carburetor not adjusted properly.
Cutting height set too low when mowing tall grass. Cut tall qrass
at maximum cutting height during first pass.
Discharge chute jamming with cut grass. Cut grass with
-discha rge pointing toward previousl y cut area.
Mower blades, arbors, or pulleys are be n r Ch^k^^p^
as necessary. F
Mower b'ades are out of balance. Remove, sharpen and balance
blades (see Normal Care section).
Rein stalled incorrectly. See "Mower Belt R eplacement-
Bent or rough pulleys. Repair or replace.
Using incorrect belt. See your dealer.
Idler pulley spring broken or not properly attached. See your dealer.
Belt stops out of adjustment. Check.
Mower driv e belt broken. Replace.
