The
reservoir
for
the
hydrostatic
transmission
oil
must
be
kept
filled
to
the
bottom
threads
of
check
plug
(A).
To
check
the
reservoir
oil
level
remove
plug
(Allfcil
is
not
up
to
the
bottom
threads
of
the
hole,
add
Dexron
auto-
matic
transmission
oil.
Adding
transmission
oil
will
be
easier
by
removing
nut
{B}
and
reservoir
cover
(C).
Clean
cover
(C)
carefully
before
removing
it
to
prevent
dirt
or
foreign
mater*
ials
from
contaminating
the
oil
in
the
reservoir.
After
filling
the
reservoir
to
the
level
of
check
ping
(A),
replace
check
plug
(A)
cover
(C),
and
nut
[B)
r
and
tighten
securely.
CHECK
AXLE
HOUSINGOIL
LEVEL:
See
figure
30.
Remove
pipe
plug
{A)
to
check
the
oil
level
in
the
axle
housing.
Oil
should
be
level
with
the
top
of
the
elbow,
if
it
is
not,
add
SAE
90
weight
transmission
oiL
Replace
the
ping
and
tighten
it
securely.
If
it
should
be
necessary
to
drain
the
axle
housmg
d
the
drain
plug
is
located
at
(B).
Always
tighten
it
securely
when
replac¬
ing
to
prevent
oil
leakage.
CHECK
BEVEL
GEAR
BOX
OIL
LEVEL:
See
figure
31.
The
check
and
fill
plug
for
the
bevel
gear
box
is
located
at
(D).
Remove
it
to
check
the
oil
level.
The
bevel
gear
box
is
properly
filled,
when
oil
is
visible
at
the
bottom
of
the
el¬
bow.
If
filled
to
the
top
of
the
elbow,
oil
may
be
forced
out
