Instruction for work
14
Secure the protection tube (3) against rotation with
chain (4).
Check the turn and space area of the P.T.O. shaft. P.T.O.
shaft touching the tractor or the machine may cause
damage (touch with 3 point hydraulic hitch bar,
machine connection).
Grease the P.T.O. shaft with multipurpose grease in
time intervals shown in the figure 5. Consider the
instructions of the P.T.O. shaft manufacturer.
Use the grease on vegetable basis.
2.4 Hydraulic hitch up
The tractor has to have a hydraulic port for raising the
rotors.
Before starting the hydraulic hitch on
tractor's hydraulic no medium under
pressure is to be in the hydraulic
system neither on machine's nor on
tractor's side.
Pay attention to clean and dry clamp.
Dirt may cause untightness and
damage.
2.5 Setting the string for lifted rotors lock up
The string must always be loosely
installed. Each unintentional pull which
might cause the disconnection of the
rotors from transport position must be
prevented. High risk of injury!
Place the string (1) fixed on locks (2) into the
cabine within reach of the driver.
2.6 Setting the tedder from the working into the
transport position
Before raising the side rotors, you have
to turn off the PTO shaft and WAIT for
the tedder to STOP!
Only raise and lower the rotors on a
level and flat surface.
Nobody is allowed to stay between the
tractor and the machine or near the
rotary tedder when set into transport
position. High risk of injury!
Check the transport position of the
flexible connection safety pin in safety
position.
Turn off the PTO shaft and wait for the tedder’s
rotors to completely STOP.
Raise the tedder a little with the tractor’s
hydraulics, so that its wheels are lifted from the
ground.
