CAUTION:
IN THE PROCEDURE.THAT FOLLOWS, DO NOT MOVE THE
BALANCING BOWL
(3) Set the micrometer scale on the test head to be zero. Use the standard
magnetic needle 3252 LMT, to align the sighting vane with the magnetic meridian.
(4) Put the compass card (130) in the balancing bowl and cover the bowl with a sheet
of glass.
(5) Turn the test head slowly and record the reading at each 30° heading. The card
must be replaced if the error is greater than ± 1.5°
