Section 6 – Additional Procedures Chassis tilt recovery
6.2 Chassis tilt recovery
IMPORTANT
When you raise or extend the boom, the MEWP
must be on a firm, level surface.
WARNING
Tip-over hazard. If the tilt settings are exceeded,
the alarm makes a sound and the light illuminates.
The platform must be lowered and retracted
immediately (refer to Section 3.4-6). If you do not
obey, there is a risk of death or serious injury.
6.2-1 Platform uphill
If the MEWP becomes tilted with the platform uphill
(refer to Figure 06), follow the steps below to go back
to a lowered and retracted position.
1. Fully lower the main boom.
2. Fully lower the riser.
3. Fully retract the boom.
4. Drive to a rm, level surface.
6.2-2 Platform downhill
If the MEWP becomes tilted with the platform downhill
(refer to Figure 07), follow the steps below to go back
to a lowered and retracted position.
1. Fully retract the boom.
2. Fully lower the riser.
3. Fully lower the main boom.
4. Drive to a rm, level surface.
