It is the responsibility of the operator to read, completely understand and follow all instructions and warnings
contained in this operating manual and on the MEWP.
FAMILIARIZATION
• Hydraulic Pumps
- Ensure there are no loose or missing
parts and there is no visible damage.
- Ensure all bolts are properly tightened.
- Ensure all ttings and hoses are properly
tightened and there is no evidence of
hydraulic leakage.
• Muffler and Exhaust
- Ensure mufer and exhaust system are
properly secured, with no evidence of
damage.
• Engine Pivot Tray
- Ensure there are no loose or missing
parts and no visible damage to the
engine pivot tray. Ensure engine pivot
tray is secure.
• Engine Oil Level
- Maintaining the engine components
is essential to good performance and
service life of the MEWP.
WARNING
Beware of hot engine components.
Check oil level on dipstick
- Oil level should be in the “safe” zone.
Add oil as needed. Refer to Table 4.2b for
recommended oil type.
• Engine Air Filter
- Ensure there are no loose or missing
parts and there is no visible damage.
• Fuel Leaks
- Ensure that there are no fuel leaks.
DANGER
Engine fuels are combustible. Inspect
the MEWP in an open, well-ventilated
area away from heaters, sparks and
ames. Always have an approved re
extinguisher within easy reach.
- Ensure fuel tank, hoses and ttings show
no visible damage and no evidence of
fuel leakage.
